I think the answer is obvious - this is the Bride’s day and no one else should be wearing white…right? Right?
This month marks the most weddings I’ve been to since….well…my own. Back in 2015. And I’d love to say that my RSVP’s have ignited something rosy in me (especially because I am quite taken with a fellow lately) but it’s mostly left me questioning all of the time-honored traditions - namely, my relationship with the color and it’s proximity to nuptials.
The last thing I was thinking was matrimony when I was putting this look together, but my photographer’s first response was “ok bridal!”. So was my beau’s.
Can’t a girl just wear white?
Then it got me to thinking - as I’ve been trying to put together a look for a wedding I have to attend this weekend…
Wait, why can’t I wear white to a wedding again?
Logically, I know why. I know why, yet my rebellious spirit can’t let it go. And dammit, it’s hot outside. And also, if you’re attending the wedding you KNOW I’m not the Bride so why does it matter?
…this was a ramble that somehow became a rant.
Anyway! White dresses are trending for Spring Summer 2024 (groundbreaking). Here are some faves:
….honestly I’m a New Yorker that takes the train, so this conversation is mostly null and void lol. But a girl loves her white looks.
Loved this take on the topic of white. I feel like there’s so many different ways people are changing the time old traditions. You look great!
